Coalescing Filter Elements

Two coalescing element technologies — standard C-type for compressed air and process gas, plus CS-type with silica binder for vacuum pump exhaust service at elevated temperatures.

Grades HE / ME / ST / PF

C-Type Coalescing Elements

Standard coalescing elements for compressed air and gas service

C-type coalescing elements use borosilicate glass microfibre media with a fluorocarbon (PVDF) binder, designed for removing liquid aerosols — oil, water, and hydrocarbon mist — from compressed air and process gas streams. Available in four efficiency grades, from general-purpose pre-filtration to ultra-high-efficiency final-stage coalescing.

Pressure:Per housing rating
Temp:150 °C
Material:Borosilicate glass / PVDF binder
Ports:6 sizes — fits all housings

Key Features

  • Grade HE: 99.99% efficiency at 0.1 µm — ISO 8573-1 oil Class 1 (aerosol)
  • Grade ME: 99.5% efficiency — high-quality general use
  • Grade ST: 95% efficiency — general-purpose pre-filtration
  • Grade PF: 75% efficiency — bulk liquid removal pre-filter
  • Replace at 0.7 bar differential pressure
  • Cannot be cleaned or regenerated — replace when loaded
Grade HE (CS)

CS-Type Coalescing Elements

Purpose-built elements for vacuum pump exhaust service

CS-type elements use a silica-based binder instead of fluorocarbon, providing superior thermal stability to 200 °C and optimised performance with the high oil loading typical of vacuum pump exhaust. These elements include an anti-reintrainment outer mesh to prevent coalesced oil from being stripped back into the gas stream.

Pressure:2 bar
Temp:200 °C
Material:Borosilicate glass / Silica binder
Ports:Fits RF-H-420–RF-H-456 housings

Key Features

  • 99.9% efficiency at 0.1 µm — Grade HE (CS)
  • Silica binder: thermally stable to 200 °C (vs. 150 °C for C-type)
  • Optimised for high oil loading in exhaust duty
  • Anti-reintrainment mesh prevents coalesced oil re-entrainment
  • Available in 4 sizes for the complete vacuum pump housing range
  • Replace based on differential pressure or annual schedule
