Seven specialist media targeting specific vapour and trace gas contaminants
Our adsorbent media range provides targeted removal of vapours, moisture, and trace gas contaminants from instrument gas and process gas streams. Each media type is formulated for specific contaminant classes — from general-purpose activated carbon to highly specialised hopcalite for carbon monoxide conversion. Available as loose fill for adsorption housings or pre-packed in sealed vapour adsorption cartridges.
Key Features
- CC — Activated Carbon: oil vapour, odour, and general organic removal
- 4A — Molecular Sieve (4 Å): moisture removal by pore-size exclusion
- 13X — Molecular Sieve (13 Å): moisture + CO₂ + mercaptan removal
- SG — Silica Gel: general-purpose desiccant for bulk moisture removal
- MB — Mixed Bases: neutralisation of acid gases (H₂S, SO₂, HCl)
- PP — Potassium Permanganate: oxidation of SOx, NOx, and H₂S
- HO — Hopcalite: catalytic conversion of CO to CO₂ at ambient temperature
Vapour Adsorption Cartridges
Pre-packed sealed cartridges for clean, fast adsorbent changes
Vapour adsorption cartridges are pre-packed, sealed units that drop directly into standard filter housings converted with a TP or TS suffix adaptor. Available in six sizes from 6 cc to 415 cc and fillable with any of the seven adsorbent media types. Cartridges eliminate messy loose-fill handling and ensure consistent media packing density for repeatable performance.

Adsorption Housings
Dedicated housings for loose-fill and cartridge-based adsorption
For high-capacity vapour removal, our dedicated adsorption housings accept loose-fill adsorbent media directly, providing significantly greater media volume than cartridge-based solutions. The RF-H-134CC and RF-H-146CC are purpose-built 316L stainless steel adsorption housings rated to 100 bar, while the TP/TS suffix variants of standard housings accept pre-packed cartridges for lower-volume applications.
